BUY COLORADO DAY: AN ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF COLORADO BRANDS & BUSINESSES
Buy Colorado Day is a new state holiday that—like the 303 Day celebrations that preceded it—shines a bright spotlight on the trend-setting impact, legacy and future of Colorado brands and businesses.
Consumers the world over are already fans of the Colorado lifestyle and those Rocky Mountain vibes. With Buy Colorado Day—celebrated every March 3 (a.k.a. 303 Day), per a Joint Resolution from the Colorado Senate—we now have an annual opportunity to celebrate the brands exporting that Colorado goodness globally.
As the Colorado State Legislature declared in its resolution making Buy Colorado Day—and Buy Colorado Week—official: “Whereas Colorado was the first home of products now recognized the whole world over, including Crocs, the snap-button western shirt, Jolly Ranchers, Coors Banquet Beer, the Denver Boot, the Denver Omelet, the cowboy hat, the Chipotle burrito, outdoor Christmas lights, Celestial Seasonings teas, the root beer float, OtterBox, the Slopper, and even the cheeseburger, PopSockets, among others.”
Launch
Buy Colorado Day launched in 2025, turning March 3 (a.k.a. 303 Day) into a powerful economic movement that unites homegrown brands and businesses with consumers all over the globe. And yes, this special date is also a fun reference to the state’s original 303 area code.
